The Lord is my shepherd

A shepherd doesn’t just protect from a distance — he walks ahead, finds the water, knows which pastures are safe today. To call God “my shepherd” is to admit we don’t actually know the way on our own, and to trust that He does.

“I shall not want” isn’t a promise that we’ll have everything we’d choose. It’s a promise that the One leading us already knows exactly what we need, and He hasn’t stopped providing it.
